TMBDOS! Episode 84: The Best Things We Watched in 2016.

best2016

The year of 2016 is over, so time to talk about what movies the hosts liked best! Like in previous best-of episodes, Lee and Daniel come together to talk about the best films they’ve watched for the first time in the year, not strictly just films from that year. Lee failed to realise that he had a top eleven instead of a top ten. Daniel also has a short list of performances he enjoyed from first-time watches this past year. This is a very casual and lightly edited episode, not quite up to our usual shitty standards, but the conversation is quite fun. TMBDOS! wishes all of our listeners a happy new year. Stay safe. Be good. Well, not too good, but you get our drift.

What echos the Christmas/Holiday season better than “Q – The Winged Serpent” (1982)? If there’s anything more fitting, Lee and Daniel don’t want to know about it. Yes, this week they tackle Larry Cohen’s low-budget throw-back to the great 1950s monster films; discuss what they’ve watched as of late, and respond to an abundance of listener feedback.

This week Paul returns to join Lee in a quick and fairly casual chat about “Halloween III: Season of the Witch” (1982) and “Night of the Creeps” (1986). That’s right, it’s Tom Atkins times two this week. What they’ve watched as of late and listener comments are also covered. It should be noted that the audio quality isn’t great this time out. Lee had his mic turned up in the Google+ Hangout they recorded in by mistake, so Paul comes in a bit low in the mix. Apologies in advance.

TMBDOS! Intermission #15: Purchases and the Horror of Upcoming Horror.

rs_1024x759-140202110150-1024

Fate has conspired against the regular podcasting plans this week so Lee is flying solo for an intermission episode. This week he shouts-out a podcast that mentioned TMBDOS! and goes over some of his recent DVD purchases. Then he looks at a list of upcoming horror films in 2017… and, well, he wasn’t drunk enough to deal with it. Enjoy!
